I tried to install the Bibo Assembler under Altirra. I can start the editor using “run 9500”. But then I cannot enter any valid command… can anyone advise here?

First thing to try is to use settings that emulate a real, non-upgraded, Atari. In other words, disable anything in Altirra a real stock XL or XE does not have. Think of things like dual pokey, alternative O.S, CIO interception vectors, memory expansions, etc…
