Changes in MyDOS 4.50D
———————-

The MyDOS 4.50D is a version of
MyDOS 4.50 patched for use with
the IDE Interface to eliminate
troubles with bootup from a drive
other than the D1:

If your boot drive is the D1:,
the MyDOS 4.50D looks exactly the
same as the non-patched version.
However, if your boot drive is
different from the D1:, the
following changes may become
visible:

1) The boot drive becomes default
one at startup.

2) The first attempt to load the
AUTORUN.SYS and DUP.SYS is done
on the boot drive, not on the
D1:

In other words, if you booted from
a hard drive partition, the DOS
will no longer try to load the
AUTORUN.SYS and DUP.SYS from the
D1:.

WARNING
——-

When booting from a drive other
than D1:, the drive 1 must be
active, otherwise the MyDOS will
not work correctly. It’s due to
a bug in MyDOS 4.50 code, that
is not fixed yet.
